Meet Captain Jordan Smith, a guy who, last week, caught something totally unknown in his fishing net. He told Huffington Post, “I saw this little head floating around.” “Oh, human, help me!” she exclaimed as she swam for me.
See, Smith was out on the harbor in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, on Thursday night when he glanced up and saw something “probably 15 feet off the water” coming off the Marler Bridge… “At first, I mistook it for a garbage bag stuffed with trash,” he said. But the object started moving. Then he saw frightened orange eyes and realized it was a tiny cat.
Smith dove into the sea to save the feline, now known as ‘Miracle.’ “She grabbed a hold of me and wouldn’t let go,” he said. “All she did was stare at me the whole time.”
Someone must have tossed the cat off the bridge on purpose, according to Smith, but he didn’t see who the mean individual was.
The kitty is now resting at the veterinarian’s office. She was breastfeeding, according to the doctors, and had a miscarriage. If the miraculous cat gets along with the captain’s puppy, whom he refers to as “princess,” Smith plans to adopt her.
We hope all goes well for this little lady – you are in good hands now, baby girl.
